ENDUREED® thatch shingles are for application on sloped roofs where a thatched roof appearance is desirable. The product is designed to exceed natural thatch in durability yet still maintaining an authentic thatch appearance. ENDUREED® resists color fade, rot, decay, humidity, UV/weather damage, and fire.
Product integrity by design. ENDUREED® thatch shingles consist of individual synthetic reeds bound by a metal binder strip called a Battenbar®. Artificial reed thatch shingles are designed to resist infestation, mildew and damage due to UV degradation. They are exceptionally fire/flame retardant and have excellent wind uplift resistance.
Synthetic reeds are manufactured from a hi-grade PVC compound. Binder strip is 23-gauge grade 304 Stainless Steel.
The standard minimum roof pitch is 5" in 12" run. contact us for more information on special low slope applications.
